The 27th Qingdao, China Fisheries & Seafood Expo

The 27th China International Fisheries Expo and China International Aquaculture Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Fisheries Expo’), hosted by the Agricultural Trade Promotion Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (CCPIT Agricultural Sub-Council), was opened at the Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, on 30th October.

Founded in 1996, after years of cultivation, CIFA has developed into one of the world's leading aquaculture trade fairs in terms of scale and international influence, providing a national economic and trade platform for China to connect with the international aquatic products market and for countries to share the new opportunities of China's development. The exhibition area of this year's Fish Expo is 110,000 square metres, with 1,602 exhibitors from 51 countries and regions, including the United States, Russia, Ecuador, Norway, etc., and a total of 34 domestic and foreign professional groups, with the proportion of international exhibitors reaching 40%.

The exhibits cover a wide range of sectors, such as aquatic raw materials and processed products, seedling and feed, aquaculture and processing technologies and equipments, cold chain logistics facilities, etc. The special installation rate of this year's exhibition reached 90%. More than 60,000 professional visitors from nearly 100 countries and regions visited and negotiated at this year's event.

The 27th Fish Expo includes a series of activities such as launching activities, professional seminars, docking negotiations, promotion and tasting. During the exhibition, a number of activities such as Aquaculture Conference of Silk Road Countries, China-Pakistan Fishery Enterprises Investment Conference, Canadian Seafood Summit Forum, Irish Seafood Traders Exchange Meeting, Future of Fisheries Forum, Hainan Free Trade Port Fishery Industry and Quality Aquatic Products Negotiation and Matchmaking Meeting, and Min Hai Zhenmei Tasting Meeting, etc., were brilliantly presented.
